9 Indoor Fireplaces That Will Bring Warmth and Charm to Your Home

Nothing compares to the warmth and comfort a glowing fireplace will bring to your home during the colder seasons. Now, add the enduring beauty of natural stone, and you have the most charming gathering place for friends and family right in the heart of your home.

The rustic charm of a natural stone fireplace brings about a sense of quaintness, making you feel as though you’re harkening back to a simpler time. Natural stone’s appearance, durability, acoustic value, and zero maintenance factor make it a solid choice for a fireplace design.

With granite hearths, mantels and fireplace surrounds, as well as natural stone veneer, Swenson Granite Works can help you add that classic touch and create a striking focal point to your home.

Swenson stocks some common sizes of hearths and mantels, all in Woodbury Gray granite, with a thermal top and split face on four sides.

We custom produce hearths, mantels, and fireplace surrounds in seven granite choices and many finish types, including sandblast, thermal, honed, polished, split face, rock face, and bush hammered.

As part of the custom process, we will use your exact template to create the desired shape and design you have envisioned. Edge effects include half bullnose, full bullnose, bevels, radius corners, and more. Custom ordered granite corbels are a beautiful way to support your granite mantel.

Swenson also stocks thin veneers made with 100% natural stone that can be installed on most surfaces including sheetrock, greenboard, brick, and concrete. Granite, quartzite, field and stone veneers are available in a variety of colors, shapes and sizes.

Thin veneer is perfect for projects where full-bed veneer isn’t practical, such as refacing an existing brick fireplace. It is also much lighter than traditional full-bed veneer, saving on labor cost.

The thin veneer installation guide offers detailed instructions and diagrams for each type of surface.
